Don't waste money on Golf+.

Main Post:

I was really disappointed by Golf+ to the point of a refund. It bombards you endlessly with additional things to spend money on. The game only includes 3 courses. 4 if you sell them a 5 star review for an additional one. The gameplay was only fine. The graphics are actually bad. Not just subpar. Each additional course is like $10. It feels very incomplete and scummy. It has the PGA logo all over it like that means quality but it only gave me the opposite impression. It feels like the PGA is willing to slap their name on trash for $$$ and it just bummed me out.

Try out Ultimate Swing Golf if you want a complete golf game with good graphics.

/end rant

Top Comment: Could not disagree more. I subscribe to their all courses thing for 10 a month. Play every day. It's not about the graphics for me, it's about the physics and the realtime shot creation. Like, no delay like the indoor SIM machines do. I love the points programme with the daily and weekly tournaments.

I’ve never golfed before and I want to learn! Any and all help will be appreciated! I don’t know any terms so definitions also help

Best Golf Advice from Reddit

Main Post:

The best golf advice on Reddit, for me and my daughter (I posted a vid a month or so ago of her swing), has been to fix your grip. Switching from a strong to a neutral or slightly weak grip has been a literal game changer. If you can make that switch, as well as improving your setup at address, then all the other swing advice on this sub starts to work. It can seem awkward or difficult at first, but you will get used to it. I’m hitting more fairways off the tee, and I didn’t lose a single ball during my round yesterday.

I know for many of you this is basically “duh, idiot” but for those that have tried all the other advice you have been given without intentionally fixing your grip, then I encourage you to do so. Good luck and hit em straight!

Top Comment: Just gotta find what works for your swing. There’s no single fix, and pursuing a draw isn’t always the best outcome. Congrats, and good luck out there!

What Do You Love About Golf?

Main Post:

Literally anything interesting about the sport and its audience which is not common knowledge.

I’m doing some market research into the sport of golf as a whole. We are planning to do some advertising and story production. The information will be helpful to build a campaign which is meaningful

Top Comment: The biggest selling point for me is how long you can play it. I could be 80 and still be able to swing a golf club, which is rare is many physical hobbies

Is golf fun?

Main Post:

I’m coming off of a bad round this morning so I might be biased but does golf get fun? It feels like there’s a sweet spot of good enough to play well and not too good where a bad round doesn’t sting. Am I just in a bad mood or does it truly just feel like you’re flushing away money each time you play?

Top Comment: Hey, you played 18 perfect shots today! (Assuming you hole out) Yeah, I love it because even if I play badly I'll play a few great shots.
